        • ABOUT REACH CHARITY RUN 2020

          We are in the season of disruption and uncertainty. No one saw it coming; that the COVID-19 outbreak would have turned the nation topsy-turvy. In this troubled time where society is in turmoil, the social service is on over-drive mode reaching out to people in need.

           

          The inaugural REACH Charity Run 2020 is birthed out of Covid-19 context to raise awareness and much-needed funds to support our essential services. Participants can choose to contribute $30 or $50 and be our Ambassador of Hope by completing a distance of 3Km or 5Km during the period of 1st – 21st December at any location, time and pace.

           

          We thank you for being our Ambassador of Hope so that others will know that Hope is with REACH!

        • HOW TO BE AN

          AMBASSADOR OF HOPE

          We are rallying our community and partners to run / walk for our social mission and be our Ambassador of HOPE as we draw close to the end of 2020 in hope for a better year ahead.

           

          We hope to raise $250,000 through this event with at least 5,000 participants. Your contributions will go towards supporting our programmes in REACH Community Services which aim to provide and build resilience amongst the Least, the Lost and the Lonely in our community.

           

          Step 1:

          Register & Donate

          Sign up for the Run and make a minimum donation of $30.
          Event officials will verify your registration and send a confirmation email to you on how to upload proofs of your run / walk.

          Step 2:

          Run/Walk & Record

          Start running and record your Run/Walk using a recognised fitness tracker or treadmill to record your Run/Walk.
          Once completed, take a screenshot or photo of the activity ensuring that the date, distance & time of the activity is clearly visible.

          **Examples of Fitness apps:

          – MapMyRun

          – Strava

          – Samsung Health App

          – Google Fit

          Step 3:

          Submit Your Results

          Upload your screenshot or photo to the ‘Upload’ page found in the link of your confirmation email or in the submission link HERE.

          Please have your Registration ID (ie: R-1234XXXX) available and fill in the details accordingly.

          Step 4:

          Approved & Receive

          Receive an approval email on your results and wait for your entitlements to be sent out after the end of the submission period.

          Founded in 1998 by Grace Assembly of God to help the hurting and needy in our community. Established as a charitable organisation and approved as an institution of Public Character since 2009. We seek to inspire hope and empower positive change in needy families, couples, vulnerable youths and lonely seniors through our six community touchpoints located at Bishan, Sin Ming, Shunfu, Jalan Membina, Bukit Batok and Bukit Gombak Vista.

           

           

          Who We Serve

          Low income, needy and vulnerable individuals / families.

          Underprivileged children and youths-at-risk.

          Distressed couples losing trust in marriage, or in fractured family relationships.

          Poor, socially isolated and helpless seniors and their caregivers.

          Persons with mental health issues such as anxiety and depressive disorders.

          Over 4,000 service users are impacted annually.

          How much is the registration fee for this Charity Run?

          There are 2 categories to choose from:
          - The 3km/5km Individual at $30
          -(exclude online gateway fee) or
          - The 3km/5km Individual at $50
          -(exclude online gateway fee)
          You may also choose to sign up for more to further support REACH Community Services

          What do I get for signing up?

          The $30 Individual Registration comes with a Thank you Medal (Upon Completion)
          The $50 Individual Registration comes with a Thank you Medal and an exclusive Ambassador of Hope Event Tee (Upon completion)

          Donated amount will be entitled to 250% tax deduction.

          What do I do after I have signed up?

          The duration of this event is from the 1st – 21st of December 2020, which means you can choose a date within the given window to record your 3km Walk/Run or 5km Walk/Run on your GPS tracking device, Distance Tracking device (eg. HPB Tracker or Smart Watch) or Treadmill and submit a screenshot/Photo of it through the submission page. You can choose to do the run indoors or outdoors (within your neighbourhood) but for your own safety, please run alone or in small groups of 5 and try to avoid crowded times.

          What type of run app is accepted?

          All GPS-based apps, Health Apps or Steps Trackers/Smart Watches and indoor treadmills are accepted However, we assume you are the person and not another person running based on the submitted run data to us. We will conduct random check on submitted run data. Honesty is the best policy!

          Where should I submit my results to?

          Please submit your results via the submission link in your confirmation email or the submission link found on the event website. Submissions will start from the 1st – 21st of December only.

          Can I submit my Walk / Run that was completed before 1st of December?

          Yes, you may submit your results completed before the 1st of December. Do note, submission is only open from the 1st - 21st of December only.​

          Is there a time frame to complete the minimum 3km/5km Run/Walk?

          This event is not a race. There is no time frame to complete. You can walk or run and in between take awesome scenery shots, it does not matter. It is important you enjoy the walk or run and to be an Ambassador for Hope!
          Do note that this is a one-off activity (3km or 5km at 1 go) and not an accumulative activity.

          Can I choose to Run/Walk indoor?

          Absolute yes, given the current social distancing measures. If you are running on your treadmill machine, just take screenshot of the distance covered and submit to us with a reference of the date.

          When do I receive my entitlements after I have submitted my Run/Walk data?

          The first 500 submissions received before the 7th of December will get their entitlements within 7 days of their approved submission. Submissions received after the 7th of December, will receive their entitlements from the 21st of December onwards.

          If I am living outside of Singapore but would like to take part in this great cause, will the items be sent to my address?

          We thank you for your kind support, however, entitlements will only be sent to Singapore addresses only. Please indicate a local mailing address in your registration.

          Who do we refer to if we face difficulty with our submission or seek further clarification?

          You can email to ambassadorofhope@orangeroom.com.sg and we will revert back as soon as we can.

          Can I donate more to REACH Community Services?

          Yes you can! There are 2 ways to do so.
